Looking for a Subletter in Chicago for June and July

Hello Everybody,
There is a good chance I will be gone for all of June and July. I am looking for someone that would want to live in the Uptown neighborhood of Chicago for that time and pay $450 (or best offer) per month. Can't smoke in the place and no pets. You'd also need to be able to at least tolerate my roomie Isaac (and he tolerate you). I'll be leaving May 11 and returning August 17, so the last 2 weeks of May and the first week of August would be included for free.

I just buzzed my hair. My roommate Isaac helped. We discussed the reasons I wanted to buzz my hair.

1. I was bored (never a good thing)
2. Easy to keep short hair looking presentable.
3. Isaac bet me I wouldn't do it.
4. Quick and easy weight loss (it's a joke people).
5. Everybody's doing it.
6. I had my hair buzzed as a kid and I missed the good ol' days.
7. I would save the $13 that Great Clips would charge.
8. I trimmed my beard and I felt that it made my head lopsided.
9. I spent $15 on new clippers.
10. It will make people laugh (not because it looks bad).
11. I like people with short hair.

I am mourning the loss of a good friend. One of my friends here in Chicago has been battling depression and stress, and this weekend, the worst happened. I ask anyone reading this to keep Katie, her family and her friends in their thoughts and prayers.

Welcome back sports fans,
This year, unlike most people in the world, I had a 25 hour Christmas. Unfortunately, I spent about 15 of those hours in various airports and airplanes. I was dead tired because of a midnight gig the night before and I was confused by flight cancellations and the airline using standby to get me out to Cortez, CO.
(short aside, Isaac just pointed out that I spelled fiddlerpig as fiddleprig. I'll be changing that as soon as I finish this blog)
I finally did get there, but it was a long trip.

I just went for a 2 mile jog/walk. I have decided that I am going to start running again. I would like to run the Chicago Marathon, but I'm probably too lazy.

Easter Sunday. Lots of good food. Lots of people. Lots of fun. Holidays are in general a fun time for me and my family (and whoever else gets dragged in).

Hello World,
Here I am for blog #3. I've never been so consistant with anything in my life. I took some pictures of the train, but I'm not in the mood to add them right now.
My rehearsal tonight was rescheduled for tomorrow night. This is funny because it was originally supposed to be Monday, then it was moved to Tuesday, then to today and now it is moved to tomorrow. We like playing together, but we're all too busy to meet up at the same time.
Well, that's all I have. Goodnight world.

Hello World,
It is kinda neat living in Chicago. Currently Chicago is putting in a bid to be the host city for the 2016 Olympic Games.
I forget how, before I moved to Chicago, I liked to come to town and ride the train. Before I moved to Chicago, I had been out to the north end of the Red Line, the end of the Orange Line, the end of the Brown Line, the end of the Purple Line and the northwest end of the Blue Line. Now, I grumble if the train sits still for four minutes. What changed? When did the coolness of the train go away? Before, I paid only $1.50 for hours of entertainment - people watching, sight seeing, exploring. Now, I pay $1.75 (it went up 25¢ a while back) to complain about loosing four minutes of my life. Maybe I should be thankful that I don't have to drive to work. I can sit and read a book, take a nap, watch people, or any number of other things while people in other cities have to concentrate on surviving rush hour. I even have multiple options on how to get home. I can take the Red Line, the Purple Line, the 147 bus, the 151 bus, or any number of interesting combinations. I guess I don't complain as much as some people here, but I could do better.
Now, enjoy two additional random pictures. One is a hard to see picture of a belly dancer at the coffee shop down the street. The other is a painting hanging in the hall of the Fine Arts Building where I work.
